The following list highlights some of the services and amenities available to all residents of West Winds:

In House Physical Therapy
We have contracted with Brooksville Rehab 2000 to provide our residents with board certified therapists. Therapy can be conducted in our rehab room, or in the privacy of an individual’s apartment. Massage therapy can also be requested. Please contact our Brooksville Rehab 2000 to discuss insurance coverage, or to make an appointment for massage therapy. (352) 592-1114

House Doctor
If you are new in the area and don’t currently have a Doctor, or if you are tired of driving back and forth to appointments, why not find a Doctor that comes to YOU? Dr Raj comes to our building, and visits with patients on a regular basis. His bedside manner is superb, and his caring and nurturing personality will make you feel at ease. Nursing Services
Our nursing staff is on the property 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  We also have an LPN on call, ready to help with all your needs.  In the event that you need additional nursing care, a home health company, or the Hospice of your choice, can come to the building to assist in your care.  If you do not already have a home health company, we can assist you with making arrangements with Nurse On Call.  You can reach their Largo office directly at 727-547-6369.



In House Pharmacy
West Winds has contracted with Centra RX to deliver medications to our building, 7 days a week. Families no longer need to worry that a loved one needs a trip out to the local pharmacy store in bad weather, or at odd times of the day. If you choose to use Centra RX, our nursing staff can update your new prescriptions with them, and will keep your medication supply up to date. Housekeeping
Our professional housekeeping staff thoroughly cleans your room each week. They will vacuum, disinfect the bathroom, clean your air conditioner filters, dust, strip your bed, as well as other house hold chores. Basic laundry services are available free of charge, this includes cleaning and replacing white bathroom towels, and white twin sized bed sheets. Full laundry services are available at an additional cost, this includes personal laundry care. Floors are steamed cleaned a minimum of once a year in each apartment. Additional steam cleaning can be performed on furniture or floors for a minimal cost.

Concierge Services
Our front office assistant is here to help you in any way she can. Need directions to the local mall? Contact information for a local eye doctor? Help in researching the most comfortable mattress? Do you need to schedule a pick up from UPS? Or what about ordering a subscription for the local paper? Melissa would be glad to help you find the information you are looking for.

Maintenance Services
Our maintenance team is here to help you in all aspects of your living space. Not only will they fix a leaky pipe, or repaint a wall, but they can also help you hang your beloved family photos, install a ceiling fan, or adjust your walker.

Activities Department
Our activities department is busy, and always looking for new ideas, and new volunteers. Please contact Penny at (813) 783-8100. Upon arriving at West Winds, residents and family members are encouraged to talk to our activities department, so that new events can be added to the program, helping all residents to feel welcomed, and comfortable in their new surroundings. Our current list of activities include restaurant and shopping excursions, off site art instruction, and in house educational seminars. We also encourage residents to play a multitude of games  including UNO, Phase 10, Rummikub, Rummy, Bridge, Wii (Bowling is our favorite!), Bingo, Trivia, Current Events, Dominos, and Mexican Train. Different churches come in each week to fellowship with our residents, as well as sing hymns. We also have volunteers that come in to assist in arts and crafts, play the piano and help with games. On weekends, our volunteer drivers that can assist you in getting to a local Catholic Mass on Saturday night, or a non denominational church on Sunday Morning.

Your Dinning Experience
Your monthly fees include three delicious meals a day!  Our food is served "restuarant" style.  Our wait staff will take your selection and deliver it to the Chef, who cooks each meal "to order".  We accomodate special diets such as low salt, diabetic, and even vegatarian at no additional cost.   Scared that your loved one's palet is a bit finicky? Thats ok!  We offer many selections at EACH meal for residents and guests to choose from.  From lobter stuff raviolis, to no-sugar-added rasberry swirl handmade ice cream, you wont have a problem finding something delicious to eat at each meal.   Are you a late riser?  Or maybe worried about munchies in the middle of the night?  No fear!  We also have a 24 hour cafe serving fresh baked goods, fruit, snacks, cappucino, tea, juice, and pink lemonade.  The video below shows you one of our "Dinner In" events.  The chef prepared a special menu of shrimp cocktail, romain and cucumber salads, seared sirloin with braised vegetables,  and individual flourless chocolate cakes topped with fresh strawberries, blueberries, chocolate drizzle and whipped cream.  To top off the evening, one of our WONDERFUL volunteers serenaded our residents with live piano music.
